21/03/08 United Dairy limited edition milk tank wagon available for sale
The Club has joined forces with the Bluebell Railway again to commission Dapol Ltd to produce a second batch of the unique United Dairies milk tank wagon as preserved on the Bluebell. The livery is green on silver.
For this edition, Dapol have left off the walkways on the tank tops, thus making it a different model from the previous edition. The cost is £16 per wagon plus post & packing.
Further information about this wagon and others still available from us are on a separate page on this website.
08/03/08 Memorial Exhibition for the late Brian Scoulding
We are organising a memorial exhibition in honour of the late Brian Scoulding on Sunday 6th July 2008 in the Paget Rooms, Victoria Road, Penarth.
Brian was a resident of Cosmeston, Penarth for the last 20 years of his life and was an enthusiastic member of the Barry & Penarth MRC. He passed away from Motor Neurone disease in November 2007.
We have located five of the layouts he built and we hope all will be exhibited in their current form.
We also hope that some of the current and former members of the Loden Vale Model Railway Club, which Brian helped to form when he lived in the Reading area, will also be able to attend. Watch this web site for more information.
This exhibition will form part of this year's Penarth Festival.
